Here at The Well we do a lot of community work. We like to see it as the church becoming the heart of the community again – just like it used to be! Our aim is to ensure everyone who connects with us is welcomed and valued. Whatever your age, we have something available for you!

community cinema

With no cinema in Retford, we show films for all the family, that have been on recently at the cinema. Every month, from September to April, we convert the Brownlow Hall into a cinema! It's complete with a HD projection onto a big screen, surround sound and we even have a concessions stand selling drinks, popcorn and other treats!

It's your second chance to see your favourite films and it won't break the bank either – ITS FREE! Due to licensing restrictions you'll need to contact us to find out what the next film is.

baby kingfishers

Baby Kingfishers is our parent and toddler group. It's a safe space for children along with their Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Carers to connect with other adults, enjoy a coffee and cake as well as play with their children. A great space for babies and toddlers to play and discover new things. Children are welcome from birth to aged 3.

We used to make up and deliver our own food parcels to those in need, so when the opportunity arose to help establish a food bank in the area we were highly involved. Now it's a fully functioning organisation!

We support the work of Bassetlaw Foodbank with volunteers and donations. Find out more on their website.
